I carpooled for three weeks then recently bought a 2007 Mazda3 5-door s Touring wagon. I like it alot.
Since I hate negotiating with car dealers, I found all the Mazda dealers within 75 miles (9 of them) and faxed the make, model, colors and options I wanted with the request they fax me back their best offer. One dealer I emailed because I couldn’t find their fax number. I got faxes back from 5 dealers and also a reply from the dealer I emailed. I ended up buying the car from the dealer I emailed: www.nelsonmazdahh.com. They had the car I wanted at a good price. Very easy way to buy a car. Much better than going into the dealer and haggling.
Some dealers refused to go along with the fax thing, with one choosing to call me three times a day instead. The salesman happened to have my phone number from a previous test drive. During his 2-day refusal to reply via fax, I bought the car elsewhere. Then to top it off, later after I told him I had already purchased a Mazda elsewhere, the salesman implied that I couldn’t take the car to his dealership for service since I didn’t buy the car there. Nice.
